Sadiq Khan and Kate Mosse to Participate at the 2023 London Book Fair

Sadiq Khan, the mayor of London, Kate Mosse, and several Ukrainian writers are the most recent names to be revealed for the 2023 London Book Fair.

On Wednesday, April 19, Mr. Khan will take the stage to speak with Kwame Kwei-Armah, artistic director of the Young Vic, on "London's role as a center for the UK's creative economy; climate change; and the role of cities in fostering a more sustainable future."

Khan said of his attendance: "I'm happy to visit this year's London Book Fair and connect with an industry crucial to London's cultural vibrancy and the UK's creative economy. He will also discuss his new book, Breathe: Addressing the Climate Emergency. I'm looking forward to discussing how we can all contribute to creating a cleaner future as cities like London are setting the pace in addressing the climate emergency.

"I'm thrilled to visit this year's London Book Fair and meet with a sector that is so essential to London's cultural vibrancy and the UK's creative economy," Khan remarked about his presence. Also, he'll talk about his most recent book, Breathe: Solving the Climate Emergency. The fair has expanded in scope and significance since it opened in 1971. It is "a hotspot for European publishers, bookstores, rights agents, and media trend-spotters," second only to the Frankfurt Book Fair's prominence.
