Rohini Paranjpe Sathe trained as an economist but returned to her first and enduring passion—Hindustani classical music (vocal). A singer and composer, she often finds words and melodies coming to her spontaneously. A brief hiatus in her musical journey led her to explore another creative outlet: writing. Over the past six years, she has written reflective pieces and personal essays for her website, Talking Cranes, before gradually moving into fiction, where she crafts emotionally rich characters and narratives. She also blogs at www.rohiniparanjpesathe.com. The Music Makers is her third published book, following her earlier work, including her debut fiction collection.
