Mobile Book Fair Opens in Lakshmipur to Promote Reading

LAKSHMIPUR, Apr 29, 2025 (BSS) - A five-day mobile book fair organised by Biswa Sahitya Kendra was opened here today with the aim of generating interest among students about reading books.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Razib Kumar Sarkar formally opened the book fair where readers would get a chance to read books from 2pm to 8pm daily.

There is a 30 percent discount on Biswa Sahitya Kendra books, and 25 percent discount on other publishers' books, as per organizer.

Convener of the book fair Amit Chakraborty moderated the inaugural ceremony, while Additional Deputy Commissioner JP Dewan and District President of Conscious Citizens Committee Professor ZM Farooqui attended the function, among others.
