Merc Publishing and Legends Publishing Set to Return to Comic Book Stores via Lunar Distribution in 2026

In 2019, independent comic book publishers (Merc Publishing and Legends Publishing) will be able to return back to brick-and-mortar comic book stores in 2019, thanks to a new distribution agreement with Lunar Distribution. This is a huge milestone for both publishers who have not had their titles available in the direct market for many years, due to limited exposure since they began publishing.

Merc Publishing was founded by Shawn Hudachko and Jamie Tyndall in Greenwood, Indiana, and started as an Internet-based comic book retailer and collectibles retailer known as Comics Elite. With many early titles being funded through crowdfunding platforms, Merc Publishing has already established itself as a recognized name in the industry through its popular titles, Miss Meow and Deathrage, and is looking to return its popular comics to the direct-to-consumer marketplace through its new agreement with Lunar Distribution.

According to Hudachko, the new partnership between Merc and Lunar will provide Merc and Legends the opportunity to return their titles back into retail outlets for fans to buy. Hudachko expressed his gratitude for the partnership with Lunar Distribution via social media by stating, “Expect some big announcements in the latter half of this calendar year, as we will have many announcements to make over the next several months.”

With the return of Merc's titles back into the retail/comic shop environment through its new distribution agreement, fans and collectors will have access to all of Merc's newest and returning comic book titles through their local comic book retailers across America.
