Katara Showcases 350+ Titles at Doha International Book Fair

Katara Publishing House is taking part with a steadfast pavilion during the 34th edition of the Doha International Book Fair (DIBF), currently being organized in the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre from May 8-17, around the theme 'From Engraving to Writing.
The DIBF will host 522 Arab, local, and international publishing houses. Katara pavilion will feature the newest cultural and scientific books, along with some heritage and historical works. There will be daily book signing events, with the most notable titles published by the house in 2025.
Some of these include Tweirat Al-Falah in the Qatari Environment by Sheikh Hassan bin Abdulrahman al-Thani, The Comprehensive Encyclopedia of Purebred Arabian Horses by General Mubarak al-Khiyarain, Camel Breeds Famed in the Gulf, prepared by Khaled Mohsen Hazam Andeila, Speaking About Family Reform by researcher Fatima al-Mohamedi, and Al-Zardaqah in the Knowledge of Horses, Their Breeds, Diseases, and Remedies, critically edited manuscript of an unknown writer.
The pavilion shall also host several novels, such as After the Volcano's Calm by Ghalia Hassan al-Mansouri and Al Mufair by Kholoud Hamad al-Naimi, in addition to a collection of winning Arabic novels from earlier editions of the Katara Prize.
The pavilion will also host Katara's significant publications in 2024, including nine new volumes (Volumes 13 to 22) of the Qatar Cultural Encyclopedia, The Children of Falcons Never Fail by Hessa Abdullah al-Sulaiti, Behind the Curtain by Mohamed Abu Jassoum, The Journey of the Ship 'Seffran' from the Arabian Sea to the Arabian Gulf by Prof Mohamad Harb Farzat, and The Qatari Environment: Reality and Aspiration.
Also on exhibit will be a number of books from the "Short Introductions" series in literary criticism and the latest edition of Sardiyat, the publishing house's magazine.
Katara Publishing House Director Amira Ahmed al-Muhannadi explained that the pavilion includes more than 350 titles of books covering all knowledge fields, ranging from literature and heritage to science, research, and critically edited manuscripts.
