Juggi Bhasin, bestselling thriller writer and veteran journalist, blends geopolitics, emotion, and real-world insight to craft gripping, multidimensional stories.on Dec 10, 2025
Juggi Bhasin is a widely read Indian author whose thrillers dive deep into high-stakes geopolitics and the emotional pressure of people navigating unpredictable worlds. With six books to his name—several of them national bestsellers—he has carved a compelling space in the landscape of contemporary Indian fiction.
Before turning to writing, Juggi built a remarkable career as one of India’s earliest professionally trained television journalists. During his tenure with Doordarshan News and Lok Sabha TV, he reported on major national and international events, including the demolition of the Babri Masjid and the turbulent years of militancy in Kashmir. He was also among the first Indian journalists to enter North Korea and interview its then-leader, Kim Il Sung—an experience that remains a defining milestone in his journalistic journey.
He also writes Agent Rana, a pioneering daily graphic spy series that ran in The Times of India for two successful seasons. His work in recent years also includes a meaningful stint as a trained communications and behavioural counsellor, where he has supported individuals across emotional and mental-wellbeing challenges, and has also guided senior corporate leaders.
A storyteller, journalist, performer, and counsellor—Juggi Bhasin brings to his writing the depth of someone who has lived many lives and observed many more.
