FICCI to Host PubliCon 2024: Exploring the Future of Publishing Through Technology

The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) hosted PubliCon 2024 on July 25th at Federation House, Tansen Marg, New Delhi. This year’s event, themed 'Technology Reshaping the Future of Publishing,' highlighted the significant impact of technology on the publishing industry.

The event began with a Welcome Address from Mr. Neeraj Jain, Chair of the FICCI Publishing Committee and Managing Director of Scholastic India. Ms. Shubha Gupta, Additional Director General of the Publications Division at the Ministry of I&B, Government of India, delivered a Special Address on technology's transformative role in book publishing. Dr. Akhilesh Gupta, Former Secretary of SERB and Senior Advisor at DST presented the Keynote Address on technology and innovation in the field. Ms. Monica Malhotra Kandhari, Co-Chair of the FICCI Publishing Committee and Managing Director of MBD Group, provided the Theme Address.

The event featured discussions on various topics, including the role of technology in reviving Indian manuscripts and emerging technologies in the printing industry, among others. FICCI officials emphasized that PubliCon 2024 aimed to recognize the essential contributions of publishers and create opportunities for collaboration and advancement in the industry.
