Coimbatore Book Festival 2024 Set for July 19-28 at Codissia Complex

The Coimbatore Book Festival, organized by the district administration and the Coimbatore District Small Scale Industries' Association, is scheduled to take place from July 19 to 28 at the Codissia complex. This will be the festival's eighth edition.

District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati held a coordination committee meeting on Friday to finalize preparations for the 10-day event. Publishers from across the nation have been invited to display their works.

The festival will feature around 250 stalls offering a wide array of books on diverse topics, amounting to lakhs of titles. The event will also include programs by prominent literary figures and artists, as well as a 'kaviarangam', essay competitions, elocution contests, and other activities, according to the Collector.

The meeting was attended by District Library Officer Rajendran, Coimbatore Book Festival Chairperson K. Ramesh, Codissia President Karthikeyan, and senior government officials.
