Chennai Book Fair to kick off from February 16th

The Booksellers and Publishers Association of South India (BAPASI) was granted permission by the state government on Thursday to hold the 45th Chennai Book Fair between February 16 and March 6. In an order, Chief Secretary V. Irai Anbu revealed that the authority was allowed after a request from the secretary of the BAPASI to hold a book exhibition in the same manner as in 2020. The condition is given it will be organized while being closely adhering to COVID relevant laws and regulations.

The BAPASI said that the number of bookstalls would be reduced from 1,000 to 800. The book expo will be held in the Nandanam YMCA grounds.
