34th Hong Kong Book Fair Launches with Over 600 Cultural Activities

The 34th edition of the Hong Kong Book Fair commenced on Wednesday, marking the beginning of a week-long cultural celebration with more than 600 scheduled activities.

On the opening day, readers flocked to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center to explore a diverse array of books presented by various exhibitors. This year's fair offers attendees the opportunity to engage with international authors, including renowned writers Su Tong and Jin Yucheng, who will be delivering lectures.

Highlighting the theme of Film and Television Literature, the fair features displays of movie clips and stills alongside the original novels that inspired them. An interactive map showcasing film locations and interesting facts is also available for visitors. This year, a dedicated section for books from the Chinese mainland returns, with over 60 publishers presenting nearly 10,000 titles.
The Hong Kong Book Fair will run until July 23, alongside the Hong Kong Sports and Leisure Expo and the World of Snacks 2024.
