Coimbatore Book Festival Kicks off from July 18 Connecting Writers and Publishers with Book Lovers

This year’s ninth edition of the Coimbatore Book Festival is scheduled to take place from July 18 to July 27 at the CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex in Coimbatore, which promises a week-long festival of books with hundreds of writers and thousands of titles available for book lovers.

Coimbatore district administration, School Education Department and CODISSIA have come together for organizing the festival, which will see participation of more than 170 exhibitors in 320 booths from the publishing houses of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Delhi.

According to the organizers, the objective of this event is to encourage the reading culture among young people and kids, in addition to helping grow the publishing sector in the digital age. Participants get an opportunity to read various books such as literary works, fiction books, children books, scholarly books, competitive exam guide books, and so forth.

In order to make the event convenient for attendees, a free shuttle service will be provided from Avinashi Road, near Jenneys Residency to the event venue. The event is completely free of cost for all participants, and one can register either through online mode or at the venue.
