BeIN MEDIA GROUP (“beIN”) has been awarded Best Kids’ Initiative of the Year for its children's channel Jeem TV and Best OTT Production of the Year – Non-Fiction for its platform TOD at the 14th annual BroadcastPro ME Awards.

These awards celebrate excellence in the media and broadcast sectors, honoring organizations for their innovative and creative contributions. The recognition for beIN came in light of Jeem TV's pioneering broadcast of F1 Kids in Classical Arabic, which represented a landmark achievement in children's programming within the region by introducing the exciting realm of elite motorsport to young Arabic-speaking viewers for the first time. Additionally, TOD’s original documentary Ons Jabeur: This Is Me, which delves into the life of Arab tennis star Ons Jabeur and her journey through the four Grand Slams of 2023, provided an authentic glimpse into the life of one of the most celebrated sports figures in the Arab world.

"Jeem TV’s adaptation of F1 Kids, along with TOD’s original documentary Ons Jabeur: This Is Me, exemplifies our unwavering commitment to delivering top-tier sports content that not only entertains but also connects with global audiences,” stated Mohammad Al-Subaie, CEO of beIN MENA. “Our achievements in winning the Best Kids’ Initiative of the Year and Best OTT Production of the Year – Non-Fiction reinforce our dedication to excellence in all facets of our operations, and we eagerly anticipate continuing to provide high-quality and innovative content to our viewers, both locally and internationally.”

The adaptation of Jeem TV’s F1 Kids program was crafted to engage younger audiences by presenting the excitement of Formula 1 in their native language, enhancing both accessibility and understanding while also preserving the Arabic language. This program features various engaging elements, including 3D graphics and a child commentator alongside a professional counterpart. F1 Kids simplifies the complexities of motorsport, fostering active engagement and comprehension. Through these creative initiatives, beIN is nurturing a vibrant new generation of motorsport enthusiasts in the Arab region.

TOD’s award-winning documentary Ons Jabeur: This Is Me is a 95-minute original sports film that provides an in-depth look at Jabeur, who made history as the first Arab to reach a Grand Slam tennis final. Following her participation in the finals of Wimbledon and the US Open in 2022, the documentary tracks her path through the four major tournaments of 2023 as she once again makes it to the Wimbledon Final, grappling with the challenge of overcoming her greatest adversary – herself. The film received global acclaim for its distinctive storytelling, moving beyond typical sports narratives to highlight a powerful human story of a woman from a small Muslim country with no prior success in elite tennis.
