Tibetan Education Dept Launches New Children's Books
The Department of Education of the Central Tibetan Administration launches free children's books to enhance learning and creativity, supported by USAID and The Tibet Fund.on Nov 07, 2024
On November 6, 2024, the Department of Education of the Central Tibetan Administration introduced a collection of children's books specifically designed for Tibetan children residing in both India and Nepal. This year, the DoE has released ten children's books along with five thicker books, which are being provided at no cost. These books can be accessed for free through the Department of Education’s Tibetan language learning website and also on the Issuu platform for anyone interested in reading them.
These books aim to improve students’ reading abilities, memory, and focus while also providing new and imaginative ideas. They aim to broaden children's understanding of various topics and encourage intellectual development.
USAID supports and coordinates this initiative in collaboration with The Tibet Fund.
