The British Book Awards 2023 Shortlist Has Been Announced

The shortlist for the 2023 British Book Awards has been released, comprising memoirs and tales from Matthew Perry, Richard E. Grant, and Alan Rickman, as well as repeat nominations for Richard Osman, Bella Mackie, Marcus Rashford, and Carl Anka.
The debut shortlist also shows that discovering new literary talent does not have to be limited to young voices, as four of the six debutants are over 45: Bonnie Garmus (Lessons in Chemistry, Transworld), Louise Kennedy (Trespasses, Bloomsbury), Joanna Quinn (The Whalebone Theatre, Fig Tree), and Bob Mortimer.
