Bookaroo sessions are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Bookaroo Literature Festival, India's largest children's literature festival, is planned to take place in New Delhi. According to the organizers, the next edition of the event will take place on November 24-25, 2023 in the city's Nizamuddin neighborhood. Participants can visit the location between 11 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

While this is the first time the event has taken place in a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it will also feature foreign speakers from 12 countries, including Switzerland, Japan, Singapore, and Australia.  There will be 78 sessions during the course of the two-day festival.

What exactly is the Bookaroo Literature Festival?

Art and craft, space travel, cartoons, life lessons, birds and animals, food, nature, history, governance, fantasy, mystery, and creativity will all be covered over the two-day event.
"We are delighted to host Bookaroo at Sunder Nursery and look forward to welcoming thousands of young children to enjoy book readings and other festival performances amidst the monuments and wilderness of Sunder Nursery," said Ratish Nanda, CEO of the Aga Khan Trust for Culture. The event will take place within a children's zone, which will contain a playhouse, peacock and butterfly habitats, and is intended to spark a child's creativity, similar to Bookaroo."

Swati Roy, festival director, agreed, saying, "Read, write, draw, create, or just listen to stories, there is something for everyone at Bookaroo."

"We are thrilled to be here and couldn't have asked for a more beautiful setting to commemorate our 15th anniversary." "Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the nursery, our partners, publishers, arts councils, parents, children, and all of our speakers for helping the Bookaroo movement - of making reading for pleasure fashionable - continue," she concluded.

Importantly, entrance to various Bookaroo sessions is on a first-come, first-served basis. Visitors can visit Sundar Nursery's official website for more information about tickets and parking.
