The 2024 Tezpur Literary Festival will held from December 24 to December 26 at NERIWALM Beliefs and Auditorium in Tezpur. The festival will host a vibrant three-day event featuring well-known national and regional writers. During a recent general meeting at the Tezpur Xahitya Xabha Bhawan, the committee executive president, Jayashree Bhuyan, and convener, Pankaj Baruah, chaired and moderated the conference, which was attended by Sonitpur District Xahitya Xabha President Dr. Bhupen Saikia, Bankim Sarma - the noted lyricist and Baan Theatre President, author Dilip Kumar Baruah, retired district and session judge Aruna Devi, and other dignitaries.

The organising committee revealed various activities for the festival and welcomed suggestions from the people of Tezpur.

During the event, Jayashree Bhuyan extended a warm welcome to all attendees, and convener Bikram Kalita presented the outline of the program. Following this, another convener, Mahendra Kumar Nath, shared his perspectives on the festival's positive aspects and past successes and highlighted that famous national author Durjoy Dutta, renowned writer and Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala, along with several respected writers from Assam and other northeastern states, have already confirmed their participation.

Another convener, Pulak Kumar Deka, noted that the Tezpur Literary Festival of 2022 had created a unique atmosphere in Tezpur. The organizing committee announced the participation of distinguished writers such as Shefali Vaidya and Robin Gangam, as well as well-known Assamese writers Dhrubajyoti Hazarika, Mitra Phukan, Arupa Patangia Kalita, and Dr. Juri Dutta at the festival, providing an opportunity for attendees to engage in conversations with Colonel Kushal Kashyap.

The literary festival's three-day program will encompass a rich variety of activities, from intimate reader-writer sessions to intellectual discussions, various literary competitions among students, storytelling sessions for children, engaging discussions on poetry with prominent poets, one-on-one talks, open mic sessions, panel discussions, a book fair, cultural programs, and a photo exhibition, promising an exciting and diverse experience for all attendees.
