Frontlist | Telangana government to decide on schools reopening in few dayson Mar 18, 2021 The Telangana government will likely decide to reopen its schools in the upcoming days. The state government is currently working on checking the covid-19 situation, and will analysis it before taking any decision regarding the reopening of schools. Making a statement in the Assembly on Wednesday, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said there is a rise in Covid-19 cases though it was thought that to be coming to an end. We are concerned as it is (a large number of cases) being reported in schools here and there. It is a matter of concern for us when it occurs in (welfare) hostels as they all are children and staying together, he said as reported by PTI. Whether to continue accommodating them or what to do, in another two-three days, I will also give a statement in the Assembly if possible. We cannot let our children suffer. So, we have to follow some policy, he added. After a gap of 10 months since the lockdown, physical classes resumed in schools for the students of ninth and above from February 1, 2021.
