Shimla Book Fair Attracts Visitors

Shimla Book Fair 2022's second day saw a consistent flow of tourists and book lovers. All 63 of the stalls had queues gathered. Books on various subjects and genres are presented at the fair including English and all Indian languages. Monal Public School students attended the fair and participated in a poster-making activity with the subject "Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav." The students also participated in a story writing workshop and storytelling.
Tree Plantation Drive
The Gawar Pathankot Mandi Highway Private Limited sponsored a tree-planting initiative with the theme "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" on the grounds of the MCM DAV Public School in Baghni. The company's employees organised and carried out the initiative. Additionally, they informed the pupils of signboards, traffic laws, and the significance of wearing helmets when operating two-wheelers. They assisted the students in correctly planting the seedlings. The company's representatives were praised for their efforts and commitment by the school's principal, MR. Rana.
50 HPU students make the journey to Kerala.
A total of 50 students from HP University's University Institute of Technology (UIT) will visit Kerala under the ‘Ek Bharat - Shreshtha Bharat’ programme that is being organised by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Students will participate in activities such as sports, music, cultural performances, and video production on historical sites as part of the programme. The program's goal is to promote cultural exchange throughout the country.
Anti-drug rally held
Students and faculty from Akal College of Nursing, as well as drug-addiction patients from Akal Drug De-Addiction Centre, marched to commemorate the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. Eternal University, Baru Sahib, Sirmaur, organised the rally. More than 300 people attended the rally, which was organised to raise awareness about the growing threat of drug addiction among youth.
