The Sharjah Book Authority is participating in the Riyadh International Book Fair 2024, scheduled by the General Authority for Literature, Publishing, and Translation. The "Riyadh Reads" fair is held at King Saud University until 5th October.

Fadel Hussein Bussaim, Deputy Director of the Sharjah International Book Fair and supervisor of the SBA's pavilion stressed the Authority's dedication to showcasing the dynamic cultural landscape in the UAE, especially in Sharjah. The aim is to encourage interaction with the Saudi audience and local publishers and encourage them to participate in the upcoming Sharjah International Book Fair.

He highlighted the Authority's programs for publishers, such as a $4,000 translation grant for the book of the year and $1,500 for children's books. He also mentioned the Tarjuman grant, which provides up to $750,000 for outstanding translations promoting Arab and Islamic culture.

The pavilion will also manage previous challenges faced by participants and show a range of publications. It includes material for youths and young adults, books by the Ruler of Sharjah, & historical texts.
