1200 Students Attend San Antonio Book Festival Event

On Tuesday, 1200 students gathered at San Antonio's Majestic Theatre as part of the San Antonio Book Festival's Authors in Schools Program. The students gathered at the majestic theatre were from the San Antonio Independent School District (SAISD) and Edgewood Independent School District (EISD). Famous author and cartoonist Lincoln Pierce, creator of Big Nate and Max & the Midknights, captivated the audience through a presentation he had on his books. Besides that, Pierce showcased drawing demonstration, where he brought his characters to life. Across the world, his series Big Nate, known for his widespread appeal, appears in over 400 newspapers. The series has been also adapted in an award-winning book for reades, with more than 20 million copies sold globally.
