Reese Witherspoon's Book Club announces fellowship for women writerson May 04, 2021 Actress-producer-avid reader Reese Witherspoon's Book Club has announced a fellowship to support the works of unpublished and underrepresented women writers. Called LitUp by Reeses' Book Club, the fellowship will provide five emerging writers with an all-expenses-paid retreat, a three-month mentorship with a published author, and marketing support from Reese’s Book Club, read a post on the Book Club's official page. The fellowship will help diverse, underrepresented, and previously unpublished women writers to get their first book published. To participate, women writers need to submit their manuscript, which must be a young adult story with a woman protagonist. The submission deadline is May 30, 2021. “We know there are so many powerful stories from undiscovered voices, and now, more than ever, we need to hear them. We are so thrilled that LitUp will serve as a launchpad for a new generation of authors and provide them with the necessary tools and resources to forge formidable careers as storytellers, Witherspoon said in a report by Hollywood Reporter.
