Thane, Sep 25 (PTI) Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray has urged that Marathi literature should be translated into various languages and distributed throughout the country, as is done with Kerala literature.

On Sunday, Abhijit Phanse, the MNS chief, said poets must write on the country's current "polluted political situation" at a function to release a collection of poems by the renowned Kusumagraj.

"I'm not sure how much politicians understand the country's current situation." As a result, poets should step up to explain it," he remarked. Thackeray stated after visiting Shakespeare's well-preserved house in England, "we do not promote our talent properly, so intellectuals remain in the background." BNM BNM PTI COR
