The Inaugural Inventory Art Book Fair Opens in London | Frontlist

This week, London will host a new art book fair that celebrates non-profit, collaborative, and interdisciplinary publishing.

The inaugural Inventory Art Book Fair, taking place June 7–9 at Cromwell Place, South Kensington, will be a celebration of artist publishing in the UK, bringing together photo books, gay zines, risograph, philosophy, contemporary art, and poetry. The fair will feature a book shop and a reading lounge, as well as a public programme of free programs.

According to the organizers, the event will "welcome everyone from established presses, occasional publishers and zinesters, to those making their first experiments with print, Inventory aims to encompass the past, present, and future of the printed form as part of a wider conversation around artistry and activist practice."

Lillian Wilkie and Ben Goulder, co-founders of Inventory Art Book Fair, said: "London has strong communities of independent publishers, and we are excited to bring these communities together at Inventory to highlight the diverse landscape of independent arts publishing in the UK. As long-time publishers and editors, we see Inventory as an appreciation of the printed form's expansiveness, as well as the friendships and mutual support that grow within and around it."
