During the closing event, K N Nehru, the municipal administration minister, presented prizes to the winners of various competitions organized by the district library department to encourage reading habits.

A special booth was set up for visitors to donate books to the inmates of the Trichy Central Prison. The booth received a positive response, with many people contributing books to support the cause. Managed directly by the prison, it allowed visitors to purchase and donate books aimed at promoting reading among inmates.

I contributed six books, including biographies of leaders, to help the inmates during their challenging times and to help them build self-confidence. Jayakumar, an artist, described it as a unique initiative. Another booth that showcased works by authors from Trichy was well received by visitors, who purchased many books to learn about Trichy's history.

The minister also honored the officials organizing the fair, which began on September 27.
