Her academic journey reflects the breadth of her interests. She holds a B.A. in History from Delhi University, with a specialization in Museology from the National Museum. She also holds a P.G. Diploma in Industrial Relations & Personnel Management from the Government of India and an M.A. in Spanish from the University of Valladolid, Spain. In addition, she holds a Teacher of English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certification from the University of Cambridge.

Bishakha's professional journey has taken her across libraries, museums, archaeological sites, humanitarian initiatives, migration and asylum programmes, diplomatic environments and international workshops. These varied experiences have contributed to her broad global perspective and continue to inform her approach to writing and cultural research.

As a registered antiquarian book collector, she has a particular connection with books, history and literary heritage. Her writing is inspired by a lifelong fascination with both the visible and invisible dimensions of human experience, allowing her to explore subjects through historical, cultural, literary and spiritual perspectives.

Through her books, Bishakha Ghose uncovers stories that reveal connections across time and place, while bringing together her interests in culture, travel, spirituality and human psychology.
