National Book Trust (NBT) will host a seven-day Patna Book Festival from March 21 to 27 at Gandhi Maidan here on the eve of Bihar Diwas 2025. A series of cultural and literary activities will be the main attractions of the festival that have been scheduled considering the interests of adults and children.

The Patna Book Festival will feature almost 300 book stalls, displaying literary products in various genres and languages by several prominent publishers, including the NBT itself," said an NBT official.

The festival will also include a Children's Corner, where a variety of activities, including workshops and sessions, and puppetry shows, story and poetry recitals, theatre and other art-related activities have been organized, added the official.

Madhubani painting workshop and an art competition based on Bihar Diwas will be the second attraction of the Children's Corner.

On the next day, a 'Nalanda Samvad' has been arranged, where speakers specializing in various fields, including film critic Vinod Anupam, will present their thoughts through interactive sessions with the audience, according to an NBT press release.

Apart from intellectual and literary debates, the guests will also be treated to cultural programs by several popular names and a show by comedian Shambhu Shikhar on the event.

The book festival will be open to guests from 11 am to 8pm over the seven days. Admission is free.
