The National Education Society for Tribal Students hosts the fifth EMRS Cultural & Literary Fest and Kala Utsav, 2024. This special event is scheduled from Nov. 12th to 15th, 2024, at Shiksha ‘O’ Anusandhan in Khandagiri, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The OMTES will organize the event.

This special event will be graced by the presence of the Union Minister for Tribal Affairs, Shri Jual Oram, and the Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, Shri Durgadas Uikey, creating an unforgettable event that overlaps with Bhagwan Birsa Munda's 150th birth anniversary. The cultural festival theme is "A Tribute to Bhagwan Birsa Munda & Tribal Freedom Fighters," providing an adequate historical and cultural context to the event while celebrating Bhagwan Birsa Munda's 150th birth anniversary.

Here are some highlights of the event-

Show Talent and Unity: More than two thousand tribal students from EMRS national will participate, recalling the rich cultural heritage of India's tribal societies through various cultural and literary activities.

Cultural events, Literary Fest & Kala Utsav events: The event will include 35 unique activities such as Vocal Music, Instrumental Music, Dance, Theatre, and Visual Arts, providing students a national platform to display their artistic talents. The winners from this cultural fest will be able to perform at the National Level Kala Utsav competition in RIE Bhopal, where EMRS students will compete against 38 other teams nationwide.

Promoting Holistic Development: The EMRS Cultural Fest has traditionally aimed to connect tribal and mainstream communities, foster equal opportunities for tribal students, and motivate them to realize their potential in various fields.

The EMRS Cultural Fest has provided a stage for students from tribal backgrounds to demonstrate their abilities and strive for excellence in cultural and artistic disciplines. With this year's event, NESTS seeks to further its dedication to tribal education and empowerment through cultural expression, promoting the comprehensive development of students and enhancing their social and academic involvement.
