Madhya Pradesh govt to broadcast educational programmes for classes 1 to 8
The government of Madhya Pradesh has plans to broadcast lessons and educational programmes for school students of classes 1 to 8 in the state. The broadcast of programmes will be done through radio and television to provide students with knowledge apart from school studies. The Madhya Pradesh School Education Department will be overseeing this project, which will ensure that students are getting proper educational guidance through these programmes. Madhya Pradesh schools have been shut down for now for classes 1 to 8 due to the rise in Covid-19 cases.
The educational programmes will be regulated by the school education board of the state and will be broadcasted on radio between 10 am to 1 pm and on television from 12 to 1:30 pm. The radio programme will be broadcasted on the All India Radio channel.
The educational programmes on television will be telecasted on Doordarshan and will cover subjects including Science, Maths and Social Science. This initiative will help students cope with the academic pressure as the schools remain closed for classes 1 to 8.

DigiLEP programme in Madhya Pradesh

The government of Madhya Pradesh has started a new programme named DigiLEP (Digital Learning Enhancement Program). Under this programme, textbook-based videos will be provided for Classes 1 and 2, and up-gradation activity-based videos will be made available to students, teachers, and parents daily through the WhatsApp group. The radio programmes broadcasted on All India Radio will include subjects like Hindi, English, and Maths. During the evening broadcast on the radio, subjects such as music, sports, Yoga, traffic rules will be covered. The students will also have to participate in quiz rounds conducted by the teachers based on the curriculum covered through these programmes. Students will also be marked based on their performance during these programmes. The government of Madhya Pradesh has taken the decision to keep all the schools in the state closed for students of classes 1 to 8 till April 15. The schools are currently conducting classes through online platforms till the schools reopen. Source: indiatoday
