Lockdown imposed in Rajasthan, all educational in state closed for 15 days
All the educational institutes, including schools and colleges, in Rajasthan have been ordered to close for 15 days after the state government has imposed a lockdown to control the spread of the Covid-19 virus across the state. The government of Rajasthan has ordered all the educational institutes to stay closed from today, April 19, to May 3 in view of the sudden spike in Covid-19 cases across the state. During this time, no school is permitted to conduct offline classes.
All the teachers have been asked to work from home during this time and prepare the exam results. The teachers will also remain in touch with the students and continue assessment through the Smile and Smile 2.0 online programmes during these 15 days.
During the 15-day lockdown in Rajasthan, called the Jan Anushasan Pakhwada (public discipline fortnight), only shops and offices providing essential services will have permission to open. The government will review the situation after the lockdown before resuming normal functioning.

Rajasthan board exams 2021 postponed

Apart from the closure of schools and colleges in the state, the Rajasthan government has also decided to postpone the board exams for Class 10 and Class 12 till further notice due to the sudden rise in the Covid-19 cases. While the Rajasthan Board of School Education (RBSE) has postponed the board exams for classes 10 and 12 till further notice in the state, the students of classes 8, 9, and 11 will be promoted without the conduction of annual exams this academic year. RBSE took to Twitter and said, “Honorable chief minister @ashokgehlot51 Mr. Minister of Education @GovindDotasra After discussion with Jee, in view of the increasing transition of Corona, it has been decided to postpone the examinations of Class 10 and 12 of the Board of Secondary Education and to promote the students of classes 8, 9 and 11 to the next class.” Though no new dates for the RBSE board exams 2021 have been announced yet by the board, the revised date sheet will be uploaded on its official website after the government has reviewed the Covid-19 situation in the state.
