KKN Publication: Empowering Storytellers & Innovators

In Bihar, where hundreds of voices do not get their rightful place under the sun, has been a transformer for storytellers, innovators, and changemakers as KKN Publication. More than just a publishing house, it is a movement of creativity, inclusivity, and empowerment; reshaping stories being told across India.

Shaunit Nishant: The Visionary Leader

The brainchild behind this enterprise is Shaunit Nishant who is an entrepreneur, management professional, and all around tech lover. Nishant began his life with the aspiration to use technological support to intensify unheard voices, when only in his adolescence.

In 2012, he established KKN Media Group as a media marketing agency under the brand name "NST." This worked its way into companies like Mysley, Bihar's first e-commerce venture, and KKN Live, an online news portal that celebrates rural storytelling.

As Nishant reflects on his vision, "Technology has always been that bridge of connecting people and amplifying voices. KKN Publication is a continuation of that."

The Story of KKN Publication

This initiative started as a pilot in March 2022, then became a fully-fledged project on December 12, 2024. KKN Publication democratises narration by providing authors with free ISBNs, international distribution, and editorial support in order to let financial barriers not be the restrictions on creativity.

"Our aim is simple: to create a platform where every storyteller can thrive," Nishant explains.

Flagship Initiatives

These are the three core programs for KKN Publication in driving change in society.

Pioneers of Change

Celebrating those who have contributed to society, this initiative enables free publication of the biographies of the honorees, inspiring communities through their stories.

Teach and Inspire

Dedicated to educators and students, this program enables teachers to share their expertise and students to enhance writing skills.

Write and Learn

Aspiring writers are encouraged to share their unfiltered stories, promoting creativity and showcasing emerging talent.

Amplifying Rural Voices Through KKN Live

KKN Live, part of the KKN Media Group, continues to be dedicated to real storytelling, with a focus on the challenges and triumphs of rural India. Unlike metro-centric outlets, KKN Live empowers communities to narrate their own stories.

"Our philosophy is simple: the best narrators are those who live the story," Nishant says.

A Commitment to Inclusivity and Growth

Beyond publishing house, a KKN Publication works on an agenda to empower societies through accessiblization to publishing and promotion of unheard tales. Thus it creates the platform of change

"Our mission has nothing to do with books." Nishant clarifies: "We mean to create ideas, bring positive changes in a community."
