The Telegraph Online Edugraph is the official media partner of Kitab Lovers' 4-day book festival in Kolkata, which focuses on selling books at reasonable prices. At Singhi Palace, Orchestra Co-Operative Housing Society, Gariahat Rd, Near Pantaloons, Dover Terrace, Ballygunge, Kolkata, West Bengal 700019, the Book Fair will open on May 25, 2023. At the event, there will be over 10 lakh books—both new and used—in more than 20 different categories.
The unique 'LOAD THE BOX' idea, which allows visitors to the fair to pay once for a box and load it with as many books as it can carry, is what makes the Kitab Lovers book fair unique.
Three sizes of boxes are offered, with prices ranging from Rs 1200 to Rs 3000.
Mr. Rahul Pandey, the founder and CEO of Kitab Lovers, commented on the event, saying, "We are thrilled to organize the book market in Kolkata. We are thrilled to be back in the city for our sixth event. Our book fair serves a wide spectrum of book readers and provides books at the most competitive prices. We have books for everyone, from young children to older folks, whether they prefer mysteries, self-help, romance, or fiction.
Rahul said, "Especially in the digital age that we live in today, the book-reading habit has declined drastically." in reference to Indians' reading habits. Even if the internet and social media provide us with a tonne of enjoyment, they will never be able to match the richness of information a good book can provide. We want more people, in particular parents, to come to our book fair, simply go through the books we have available, and see if you can rediscover your passion for reading.
Over 60 book fairs have been held by Kitab Lovers in 20 locations throughout India since the organization's founding in 2019.
Kitab Lovers is on a mission to make reading inexpensive and accessible for every Indian through its 'Load the Box' campaign and to disseminate the love and joy of reading throughout the nation. The book fair is also hosting contests, and the winners will receive free book boxes and discount coupons.
The Kitab Lovers book fair has it all in store for readers, including a section with over 500 Hindi novels and a reading area. The exhibition will also have a special area for recently released books, including chosen authors from throughout the nation.
