Kishore Asthana is an Indian writer, poet, and engineer with a versatile professional and literary career. A graduate of the Indian Institute of Management (Ahmedabad), he started his career with the Tata Administrative Service before working in Oman for 26 years. By the time he returned to India on his own accord in 2004, he had become Group Vice Chairman for a conglomerate belonging to Sayyid Asad Tariq Taimur, a member of Oman's royal family.
