Jesse Meyer Has Been Appointed as the CEO and President of the Baker Publishing

Beginning on May 1, 2023, Jesse Myers will serve as the family-owned Christian publisher and retailer's next president and CEO. The company's board of directors, which had formed a committee to identify a new president and CEO, made the statement.
On April 30, 2023, Dwight Baker will retire from Baker Book House, and Myers will take his position. Myers is the first individual outside of the Baker family to occupy the job, making it a historic occasion for the business.
Myers, who has worked in sales, marketing, and editing capacities in the past, will bring to Baker more than 10 years of expertise in Christian publishing.
He is presently the director of original material for Faithlife, the company that makes Logos Bible Software, and the publisher of Lexham Press.
In response to the problems and possibilities facing Christian publishing today, Dwight Baker, speaking on behalf of the Baker family, said, "We think that Jesse is the perfect person to manage our organization. We extend a warm welcome to Jesse and pledge to pray for him as he begins his new job.
Myers stated that joining Baker, "an industry-leading publisher servicing readers throughout the world," had made him feel "thrilled and gratified."
Baker Publishing, which was established in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in 1939, is made up of five divisions and releases about 300 books annually. The Baker Book House retail location is a part of the Baker Book House Company.
