The yearly book fair draws a broader audience than just bookworms because it also offers a variety of family-friendly activities. This includes activities that encourage reading and cross-cultural interaction. The Hong Kong, Trade Development Council has asked eminent authors to visit and speak about their writing experiences in person now that limitations on foreign travel have been relaxed.

The organizers have yet to announce the topic, booths, or speaker list for this year. However, it is certain that "Why Be Normal?: Life Lessons from Pine Knot" by Martha I. Clyburn would be displayed. The exhibition "Law Enforcement: Past, Present, Future" by Lawana Scales will also be on view. The books will be on sale at ReadersMagnet's booths (1C-B23 and 1C-B25) at the exhibition.

After being postponed for two years owing to the pandemic, the fair's 2018 edition was the first significant event in 2022. With the Sports and Leisure Expo and World of Snacks, it drew more than 850,000 visitors. More than 700 exhibitors participated in the seven-day Book Fair. Bestsellers included children's novels, self-help books, and health-related publications.

Since its debut in 1990, the Hong Kong book market has grown into a significant summertime yearly event. It works to encourage local reading habits and provides a wide selection of reasonably priced books in many genres.
