Hindu College Starts Event to Unban Tons of Hindi Literature

Hindu effort by the Hindi Academy and Hindu College. It concentrates on the suppressed narratives that influenced India’s struggle for independence.

The seminar focuses on the major banned texts and songs that played a significant role in the freedom movement. Mahatma Gandhi and Bhagat Singh were the central figures of India's freedom struggle. These secret works were used to hunt effective modes of expression.

The morning session was chaired by Mr. Vijay Dutt Shridhar which included insightful presentations by the respected scholars. Dr. Rakesh Pandey, Dr. Narendra Shukla, Dr. P.K. Jain, and Dr. Chandrapal talked about prohibited Hindi literature from historical, cultural, and literary standpoints. The insight into these standpoints flashed light on the ability to spread a fire with the fuel of words and the strength of tribals who dared to write them.

Further afternoon sessions were conducted with Mr. Santosh Bhadauria, Prof. Chaman Lal, Dr. Rajvanti Mata, and Mr. Bhairav Tyat Das. They were of the view to share that the edited literature reflects society in its transition. It also acts as a reflection of resistance. Their analyses/studies flared lively debates among the audience.

The inaugural address was by Mr. Surendra Sharma, the Vice President of Hindi Academy, who spoke about the need to bring out the otherwise marginalized voices. Some key words were also expressed by Prof. Anju Srivastava, Principal College of Hindu, who is committed to fostering the spirit of intellectual exchange in every possible way. Mr. Rajmani kept the program efficient and orderly in the transmission of ideas.

As the curtain fell on the inaugural day, the literature aficionados and critics looked forward in expectation to the days in waiting at the seminar. Tomorrow's program promises to tell stories untold, question reigning discourses, and salute the spirit that dared to express resolutely.
