Fujairah Childrens Book Fair Debuts

The first edition of the Fujairah Children's Book Fair was officially inaugurated by Dr. Sheikh Rashid Bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority. The book fair's affairs were taken out under the trade of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah.

Sheik Abdullah Bin Hamad Bin Saif Al Sharqi, president of the UAE Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, observed the fair launch at Al Bayt Mitwahid Hall in Fujairah.

While giving his speech at the inaugural function, Sheik Rashid highlighted the importance of children's literature in society, which needs to be understood and promoted. He said that cultural activities and book fairs greatly enrich children's knowledge and way of thinking.

Sheikh Rashid said that the Fujairah government attaches great importance to cultural growth in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, who supports learning and develops the reading culture through endurable projects.

Sheikh Rashid also visited the exhibition and the different stands of publishing houses, met with leaders of cultural and artistic organizations, and participated in the fair's activities.

Nasser Al Yamahi, Executive Director of the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority, announced the holding of the Upcoming Author competitor as part of the opening ceremony to encourage young writing professionals.

The fair, which will open on 19th October at the Al Bayt Mitwahid Hall in Fujairah, will feature various activities planned to stimulate and inspire young minds.
