From December 1 to 10, Silchar will Host the Assam Book Fair

The Assam Book Fair will be co-organized by the Publication Board Assam and the All Assam Publishers & Book Sellers' Association from December 1 to 10 in Silchar. For the first time, the fair is being held in this southern Assam town.

"The goal of organising the fair is to bring together writers, publishers, and anyone else involved with literature on a single platform."

"We are hopeful that the event will be well-attended," said Pramod Kalita, secretary of the Assam Publication Board. Kalita further stated that Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has been invited to the function. Ranoj Pegu, the education minister, is also expected to attend the fair's opening day.
