Paris Book Festival, Festival Du Livre Paris is making its entrance soon this month, created by the publishers of the Syndicat National de l'Édition. This exciting festival is organised to reconnect with the vital energy of the first book fair, rediscover the sense of celebration, and allow all those involved in the book chain, authors, publishers, booksellers, etc. to celebrate books — all books — and reading, in all its forms. The three-day event starts on April 22.

This Festival reflects the extraordinary diversity of French publishing, the formidable creativity of authors. It invites you to discover the richness of Indian literary production as this time, the Guest of Honour country is India. 

Telling stories, transmitting ideas, deciphering the world, informing, making people laugh, cry, tremble, outrage, comfort... whether it's literature, whatever its genre, comics, essays, documents dialogue is always possible. This is how they designed the program of the Festival du Livre de Paris: by inviting people to read, all worlds combined, and by creating a dialogue between genres and generations. This festival comprises various enlightening sessions like book readings, interviews, literary and gastronomic walks, musical readings, and more such interesting sessions. 
The festival will introduce renowned authors and eminent personalities who will exchange dialogues and address the audience with their enlightening perspectives. 

The beating heart of the Festival, the Grand Palais Ephémère will welcome more than 150 publishers.  The Agora, the four literary cafés, and the two workshops will host a plural, dating program free from gender constraints. 

The Paris Book Festival will also hold events around the book in prestigious places. After two years of postponements due to the pandemic, the time has finally come to welcome India, the Guest of Honour at the Paris Book Festival. The new title, new concept, prestigious locations, in the heart of the capital, Grand Palais Éphémère.

This cross-invitation (France will be the guest of honor of the New Delhi World Book Fair postponed to next May) was initiated in March 2018, during the State visit of the President of the Republic to India, by Emmanuel Macron and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. 

It is the result of a close and solid partnership between the Syndicat National de l'Édition and the National Book Trust of India with the decisive involvement of the IFI / French Embassy in India and the support of the French Embassy. from India to Paris. 

It is, therefore, for readers in France, an exceptional opportunity to meet India through its writers, publishers, and book professionals, in its fundamentals and its contemporary issues, its richness, and its diversity, particularly linguistics.
