DU UG Admission 2021 Latest News: With the cancellation of the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021, there are a lot of queries among the students regarding their higher education and admissions to the various colleges and universities. In this regard, University of Delhi has made an important announcement on admission process. The Acting VC of DU has announced the date of the commencement of the admission process. He also confirmed that this year, the students will get admission in DU on the basis of marks. As per an ANI report, the registration process for admission to the University of Delhi is going to start around July 15, 2021. While taking to ANI, Acting Vice Chancellor, University of Delhi (DU) said, This year probably most of the boards will not take the exams due to COVID-19 pandemic and around July 15, we are going to start our registration in Delhi University. Joshi has also assured all students that the students from all the boards of the country will be given equal opportunity. Notably, soon after the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 was cancelled, CISCE and various other state boards also followed suit. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) notified that the Class 12 Board Exam 2021 candidates will be evaluated on the basis of an objective criteria which will be soon announced by the board. DU acting VC stated that the admission procedure of DU is linked with the Class 12 Board Exam results and it has happened many times that if the board results are delayed due to special circumstances, the University of Delhi also extends its admission for some time. Joshi further added, In Delhi University, if you look at the previous years, we give admission to students on the basis of merit. This time due to the special circumstances of COVID-19, the Government of India has decided to keep in mind the safety of the students. He informed that this year whether it is CBSE or other state boards, the admission to DU will be based on the marks of the students.
