Article: The 13th edition of Drukyul's Literature and Arts Festival (DLAF) is set to commence on August 3 at the Royal University of Bhutan in Thimphu. The festival will feature a distinguished lineup including politician-author Shashi Tharoor, novelist Shobhaa De, Turkish Ambassador Firat Sunel, and bestselling author Ashwin Sanghi. Under the patronage of Her Majesty the Queen Mother, Gyalyum Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck, the three-day festival aims to immerse Thimphu in a vibrant celebration of storytelling and artistic expression.

Aligned with the vision of His Majesty the King of Bhutan, DLAF 2024 adopts the theme of "Mindfulness", reflecting Bhutanese values of compassion, harmony, and self-awareness. Organized by Bhutan Echoes, the festival promises a rich program featuring keynote speeches, author discussions, and immersive cultural experiences highlighting Bhutan's unique heritage and natural beauty.

Her Majesty the Queen Mother expressed, "Literature breathes life into our existence, and DLAF 2024 aims to captivate hearts with its profound connection. It's an opportunity for readers and enthusiasts alike to embrace the beauty of literature."

The festival will also host notable figures such as former diplomat Navtej Sarna, poet Tishani Doshi, children's author Roopa Pai, Ambassador of France to India Thierry Mathou, Korean writer-translator Anton Hur, Nepalese entrepreneur Binod Chaudhary, and Bhutanese poet Kinley Rinzin Dorji. DLAF 2024 concludes on August 5, promising attendees an inspiring and enlightening journey through literature and culture in the Land of the Thunder Dragon.
