The İZKITAP-İzmir Book Fair, organized as a festival, will take place in Kültürpark from April 19 to April 28.

This year's main topic for the event, which will simultaneously feature the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day activities, is "Children's Literature". 

The fair's guest of honor will be writer Ahmet Ümit, a prominent figure in Turkish literature. He will host book enthusiasts in dedicated spots across Kültürpark during the event.

The event will be attended by almost 350 publishing houses, 50 second-hand retailers, and dozens of institutions.

İzkitapfest will offer a cultural feast for guests, including book buying, interviews, concerts, tournaments, and signing sessions. Writers, poets, artists, journalists, and over 800 other literary luminaries will share their experiences at over a thousand autograph sessions and interviews.

Non-governmental groups and authors will also meet with their readers and book enthusiasts in a designated area. A special book auction will also take place at the exhibition, which will feature Türkiye's largest second-hand bookshop participation on a second-hand bookshop street built up in the fairgrounds.

The Kültürpark Open Air Theater will host notable speakers, including İlber Ortaylı, Professor Celal Şengör, poet Murathan Mungan, Emrah Safa Gürkan, and cartoonist Varol Yaşaroğlu.İzkitapfest will have events to commemorate National Sovereignty and Children's Day on April 23. The fair will feature a variety of entertainment and events over the course of ten days, including children's concerts, fairy tale telling, quizzes, pantomimes, and illusions.

The İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, in collaboration with İZFAŞ and SNS Fuarcılık, is hosting the İZKITAP - İzmir Book Fair, which will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
