Chennai will host a Literary Festival to commemorate the life and works of Malayalam writer MT Vasudevan Nair

On the Vivekananda House campus, a one-day literary festival will be place in P Kunhikannan Smriti Mandapam. It will include talks, movie screenings, a book exhibition of signed copies of MT's novels, a photo exhibition of moments from the author's life shot by photographer Punalur Rajan throughout the years, and an essay competition. 

Four sessions will be held during the literary festival to examine various aspects of Malayalam literature and MT's works. The event features prominent Malayalam and Tamil writers.

Speakers include MP Abdussamad Samadani, Alangodu Leelakrishnan, Srisailam Unnikrishnan, Subash Chandran, and P K Rajasekharan. The literary sessions will cover topics such as MT's literary and aesthetic journey, Malayalam literature before MT, Malayalam literature in the age of MT, and Malayalam novel in the age of MT. 

At 10 a.m., MP Abdussamad Samadani will launch the programme. At 6:30 p.m., MT will screen a film.
