Bapasi Bans Publisher for a Year

Chennai: Booksellers and publishers association of south India (Bapasi) has banned publisher M Vediyappan from participating in book fairs organised by them for a year after the episode of NTK leader Seeman criticising ruling DMK at a book launch event in the fair venue, organised by the publisher, where Puducherry's Tamil Thai Vazhthu was played instead of TN's Tamil Thai Vazhthu.

"Bapasi has decided to ban Discovery Book Palace and Discovery Book Publishing (two separate entities, both owned by Vediappan) for one year from participating in the Bapasi-organized book fairs for the Seeman fiasco, after an emergency general body meeting on Wednesday," Badri Seshadri of Kizhakku Publishing House, a member of Bapasi
