In a bid to promote reading and ensure access to books for all, bKash, in collaboration with Prothom Alo Trust, has distributed 120,000 books to 393 libraries across 28 districts in Bangladesh. These libraries, created through the efforts of individuals, organizations, and collaborations, received books that included a diverse range of genres, such as fiction, poetry, self-development, science, and religion.

The books were collected during February's Amar Ekushey Book Fair, with contributions from visitors, writers, and readers. Additional books were added through bKash’s own funding. Operating under the slogan Medhar Bikash Thekay Ke, this initiative aims to make literature accessible to readers of all ages, including underprivileged children.

As the patron of the Amar Ekushey Book Fair for seven years, bKash has been actively collecting and distributing books for the past five. To date, 267,000 books have been donated to schools and libraries across the country. Prothom Alo Trust joined the program last year as a key partner in collection and distribution efforts.

This year's distribution began at Swayamvar Public Library in Chuadanga, with additional deliveries to libraries in districts such as Kushtia, Sylhet, Bandarban, Rajshahi, Barishal, and Rangamati, among others.
