Assam Publication Board to host 3 new book fairs

From this year, the Assam Publication Board (PBA) would hold four book fairs in various districts of the state. In an interview with The Sentinel, APB secretary Pramod Kalita stated that the Education Department just made a judgement in this regard.

 It is worth noting that the APB has been holding the Guwahati Book Fair at the Chandmari playground every year for the past several years.

According to Kalita, three other book fairs would be arranged in collaboration with the North-East Book Sellers' Association in Dhemaji, Jorhat, and Bongaigaon. The book fair in Dhemaji will begin on November 4, the one in Jorhat on December 2, and the classic one in Guwahati on December 29. The date for the Bongaigaon book fair has yet to be determined, according to Kalita.
