Chennai Book Fair has ended with the great footfall of more than 10 lakh. The book fair started on 9th January and ended on 21st January at YMCA Grounds, Nandanam. There were thousands of students from different schools who came to the book fair and purchased their favourite books. Parents with their children also attended the book fair and enjoyed the programmes which were the part of it. Many policemen were also seen in the book fair with family and searching for their favourite books. Some of them were looking for books for competitive exams. On the other hand, some of them were looking for storybooks.  Police from different police stations paid a quick visit to the book fair in their break hours. They were seen searching and reading books. A police source said that there were also around 100 policemen on duty at the book fair. S.Dinesh, an employee of a publishing house said, “There are more police personnel at the book fair than last year. We had a bookstall last year as well. As far as the number of cops visiting bookstalls is concerned, it has increased this year.”
